Four out of 10 of the UK’s micro businesses do not accept card payments, according to payments provider Square. – https://smallbusiness.co.uk/half-of-the-uks-micro-businesses-do-not-accept-card-payments-2547858/

Square’s research has determined that 56% of shoppers aged between 25 and 34 prefer paying by card, and 47% of shoppers overall.

Square offers payments technology as the way to keep small businesses in business seeing as consumers are turning away from cash payments. Its technology enables these micro businesses (SMEs), which employ fewer than 10 people, to offer card payments in store with accompanying valuable consumer insights via a tablet or smartphone.

This is in line with our thinking. We, at WIZZIT Digital, firmly believe that helping SMEs to go digital and enabling them to use an online payment method will provide a safe and secure means for them to continue conducting business in these times of contactless payments.
